Hinode Koi Farm is unusual wooden wall art inspired by traditional trade signage, rising-sun graphics and koi culture.

Hinode Koi Farm takes its cues from the quiet confidence of traditional trade signage — a piece designed to feel established, purposeful and full of character rather than decorative for decoration’s sake.

A sweeping koi sits at the centre of the composition, balanced by a sculptural pine and a bold rising sun. The restrained red, black and natural timber palette gives the piece presence from across a room, while the carved linework, characters and small maker-style seal reward a closer look.

The natural wood face is an important part of the design. Rather than hiding the material, the grain runs through the retained surface and contrasts with the machined and hand-finished details, giving every piece its own character.

At 600mm in diameter, Hinode Koi Farm has enough scale to hold a wall on its own without overwhelming the room. It works particularly well in warm contemporary interiors, dining spaces, bars, studies and carefully considered eclectic rooms.

Made in our workshop from 19mm hardwood-veneered engineered timber, with hardwood veneer to both faces. Each piece is precision-carved, hand-finished, fully finished on the reverse and protected with a sprayed satin clear coat. It is supplied ready to hang with two D-rings and stainless-steel wire.
