Black Lagoon is vintage monster wooden wall art inspired by lakeside legends, roadside attractions and old warning-sign graphics.

Black Lagoon is built around the atmosphere of a half-forgotten lakeside legend — the sort of warning sign you might imagine finding in a remote lodge, bait shop or roadside attraction where everyone locally knows the story and nobody quite agrees what lives beneath the water.

The creature breaking the surface gives the piece its focal point, framed by a wide landscape, distant trees and deliberately restrained colour. The large BLACK LAGOON lettering anchors the design and gives it the confidence of an old commercial or attraction sign rather than a conventional picture.

What makes this piece especially effective is the amount of carved linework across the whole face. Water, shoreline, trees, lettering and the creature itself all carry fine detail, so from a distance the sign reads boldly, while up close the timber grain and carved texture become a large part of its character.

The shaped outer profile adds another layer of presence and helps the sign feel like a found object rather than a simple rectangular panel. Muted greens and natural timber tones keep the finish aged and believable without hiding the material underneath.
